Well, it's been about a month now since I last wrote, and with summer getting underway, the outlook for Opinium appears bright as the business continues to grow. We recently announced a 31% increase in sales for the current trading year!
The recent Insight Show at Kensington Olympia was a great opportunity for us to meet new clients and we are now starting to see some fascinating projects come through. It’s really interesting for me, having been here a few months now, to watch our client base grow and change. In particular, since I've arrived, I've noticed that we have not only been constantly gaining new clients in our traditionally strong areas –PR and Financial Services Research, but have also begun to make a sizeable impact in several other sectors.
Most notably, our Advertising Campaign Effectiveness offering has really developed recently. Currently, we are working with a collection of high-profile clients within the health & beauty industry to uncover the impact of their campaigns – conducting research often pre and post campaign to illuminate any changes in brand awareness or perception. I've been lucky enough to be involved in some of this research, which has not only thrown up some incredibly exciting brand insights, but has also allowed me to develop my skills using our leading survey hosting software considerably. I've seen that advertising research can really benefit from the use of visual and unusual question types, which not only keep panellists engaged, but also make sure that panellists engage with the whole 'brand experience', rather than solely the brand name. Not only useful, but fun for the panellists and great for our clients!
