Institute of Leadership and Management

Brief:

The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) approached Opinium Research to help them with an academic piece of research into UK university graduates. The ILM were particularly interested in the views of Y generation graduates. These individuals were known to have been born in the later part of the 1970’s and onwards and graduated no later than 2006.

So, the ILM tasked Opinium to identify Y generation (30 year olds and under) UK higher education university graduates and survey their views on their careers and how they feel they are managed by their organisations.

A number of images would need to be shown to respondents.

Provide the research and insights in report form to be fed directly into the ILM marketing strategy.

Solution:

Opinium Research identified a sample of UK university graduates from across the UK from its own UK representative panel who had graduated no later than 2006.

As a number of images needed to be shown to the respondents. Opinium Research recommended that the questionnaire be hosted online. Opinium provied full questionnaire design support, programmed the questionnaire with the online images and then invited the identified sample to the survey.

The research findings were fed into ILM’s marketing strategy to help position their organisation as a thought leader in the management and support of university graduate managers.
