Three in four French people go on holiday with their parents because it’s cheaper

Research conducted by Opinium on behalf of Enterprise Holdings, a car rental company, found that 75% of French people go on holiday with their parents (or in-laws) because it costs them less.

Some of the main expenses parents / in-laws contribute to are: food (42%), plane tickets (29%) and leisure activities (28%).

While going away with parents / in-laws does come with some hiccups such as lack of privacy, two fifths (42%) are willing to accept this, with 92% saying they’d repeat the experience.
