Scant training for UK workers underscores productivity test

Our research, on behalf of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA), has found that more than a quarter of workers in Britain have not had any training in their jobs in the past year.

It also found that 37% of workers who responded to questions said they did not believe they needed to improve their skills.

Yet, 62% of company executives surveyed said sections of their operations could be automated in the next five year showing that workers are at risk.

However, only 38% of workers thought any portion of their role would be automated and just over a quarter had not even considered the impact of automation on their roles.
