Supporting the mental health of expat employees

Our research for the Health Insurance Group found that organisations with employees working abroad are falling short in terms of providing mental health support, with only 34% of employers having a specific policy in place for expat employees.

Despite the recent focus on the importance of mental health, less than half of large organisations (250+ employees) provide with dedicated mental health support to their workforce abroad. This figure falls to just 28% amongst SMEs, demonstrating that employers of all sizes could do more for their expat employees.
